Sandy moved to Coffs Harbor
3 ½ years ago but still teaches sewing classes at Inverell once
a week. She plans on teaching in Coffs Harbour in the near future.
She occasionally writes articles for magazines. She has devised a
curves and swirls piecing method for doing appliqué look alike.
She used the method on her portrait quilts. She designs actual size
drawings before making the portrait quilts.
Sandy went to a hands-on tessellations
demo by Jinny Beyer. It was a wonderful journey in design for her. She
advises - don’t be restricted by use of colour, use as many colours as
you want to. She loves doing machine quilting.
